2010 Talent Show

In one of my parallel lives, I am sure I am a dancer or a stage actress. Last night was a different high when we performed (as one of the soldiers and back up dancers) onstage during our office’s annual Talent Show.  The theme this year is Decades and ours were the 80s/Edsa/People Power.  Our presentation was a mishmash of dancing, acting, singing… It was crazy and funny.  We came in second place (there were 5 competing teams).  Yeah, losing sucks, but still, it was fun.

I wrote about being somnambulistic in life in general but whenever I’m onstage, dancing or acting, I feel alive.  In a weird way, though, I may be dancing “somnambulistically”. There were stuff in the recorded video of our performance that I could not recall doing at all!

Roar! Holy crap! That’s little me on the left. How embarrassing. But oh, how fun.

I miss dancing.  I miss the summer workshops.

I love being in the theater.  I experienced it once when I performed, like a decade ago, during our Christmas party during my NDCP stint.  That felt so long ago.  But well, the performing arts is just another one of those short term interests of mine.  I would have loved to continue doing them but sadly, I was unavoidably detained by work 😦

It’s a little too late for me to dance again.  I’d love to do it again but the bones in my body are starting to protest… you gotta face the facts.

Yaiks! Look what I found in my pictures archive. My stint as a Vegas Showgirl, hahaha. This was during my first corporate Christmas Party and the theme was Mardi Gras/Carnivale. I can’t believe I let them talk me into doing something like this (can’t believe I have the guts to post this!)–
